Katoni represented at OEUK launch - Feb 2022

Katoni CEO, James Bream, was invited to a major event to launch the rebranded OUEK.

The rebranded OEUK reflects a wider role to include renewables technologies like carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen and wind, on top of oil and gas.

The event was hosted by Energy Voice’s Allister Thomas, it featured representatives from some of the North Sea’s biggest players, including Equinor and Neptune Energy.

In broadening its remit, OEUK now encompasses green energy sectors that are already covered by other trade bodies, like Scottish Renewables and Scottish Carbon Capture and Storage. The event focused on the changing role and purpose of the oil and gas sector in the context of the drive to Net Zero.
