Repsol: The Clyde Platform, Replacement of Diesel Centrifuge

About the Asset

Our client on this commission was Alfa Laval with their operating partner being Repsol.

Katoni’s role in supporting Alfa Laval

Collaboration in action

Understanding the Alfa Laval’s needs - Unusually for this commission Katoni were not commissioned directly by the asset operator but by Alfa Laval. Alfa Laval approached Katoni because of our multidisciplinary team and our ability to move quickly which were two key requirements for the work.

Delivery – This project was effectively operations / facilities led. We had to deconstruct the existing centrifuge and relocate feed pumps and undertake preparations to support installation of the new package. As part of the commission we procured, stored and provided logistic support for the new centrifuge.

The Katoni Way – The project required a quick response from a multidiscipline team. In addition, throughout the process offshore delays meant changes to project plans which Katoni were able to respond to including a requirement to hold / store equipment and transport at short notice. The project benefitted from access to the Katoni supply chain from equipment purchase to storage and logistics.

Project delivered on time and on budget
