John Maclean is the Founder of Aberdeen-based EPC company Katoni Engineering. He is a qualified Electrician to trade and has worked in the Aberdeen oil and gas sector for a number of years for companies such as Apache, Amec and Wood Group. Since the company’s inception in 2010, John has led Katoni Engineering into the Mexican market including the establishment of a local subsidiary and an office in Mexico City. In addition to this, John has secured work to support Tullow Oil in Ghana and continues to look at further potential options for expansion of Katoni both locally and internationally.

As Katoni continue to grow, John has employed and developed an exceptional team to assist in delivering and producing technically compliant deliverables and services which are supported by Katoni’s industry leading management systems. As Managing Director of Katoni Engineering, John is committed to Katoni’s QHSE objectives whilst delivering a consistently high-quality service to all. A good example of this was the company being the first in the UK to secure the ISO45001 safety standard from LRQA.
