Ian is a Chartered Chemical Engineer specialising in Process Safety / Technical Safety engineering who has over 16 years of experience of working in the oil and gas industry predominantly within the upstream / midstream sectors.  He has worked at a number of engineering consultants on EPC projects with significant experience of brownfield modification projects. 

Ian is the full time Technical Safety Lead at Katoni and leads on a range of activities including formal safety studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID and ISD reviews. He is an experienced facilitator and currently leading a set of LOPA meetings on behalf of a core Katoni client.  He's of course also experienced in the application of Safety Case and COMAH legislation.
